Rutland Island is an island of the Andaman Islands. It belongs to the South Andaman administrative district, part of the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. the island is lying 20 km south from Port Blair. The island is famous for its rich marine life and shallow waters and serves as an ideal place for open water divers to get trained and practice here. The island has a rich forest cover and the soil is dry and sandy.
